Poetic Off Licence

2 Alis & a G stretch poetic licence to its limits by reading short stories too! Cripes!

Tuesday 13 May 2008

Enigma [Venue 2]

Anyone who thinks ‘unpretentious’ means ‘unadventurous’ needs to hear 2 Alis and a G. Alison Dunne, Alison Flett and Eddie Gibbons, with special guest Gerard Rochford, gave us an evening of poetry and prose that was unashamedly direct, but never plain or dull. We heard of love, loss and longing; the ups and downs; the country and the town; the things you don't regret, and the things you do, and things you know you will but what the hell... all delivered with wit, verve and style. A real treat, for the head and the heart.
