An incredible journey into the poetical world of four individuals.
Although performing to a small (but appreciative) audience Poetry Scotland provided
us with a magical mystery tour round the world of their words, whisking us off on
a brief tour of their publications for an hour and a half.
The poems of Ian Blake, Morelle Smith, Sally Evans and oor ain Sheena Blackhall
steered us from the West of Scotland and Cumbria to the Grand Canyon, the Balkans
and Van Gogh's Arles taking in cat poems, cowboy poems, bee poems, amusing quirky
poems and general observational stuff on the way.
Sheena's seamless switch from folk ballad (sung to the tune of The Water is Wide)
to prose to poem was as good as ever, providing the dessert to our poetic feast
on that evening.
I look forward to seeing them next year!
